Capitals
Greek life system is made up of several local and national social
and service Greek letter fraternities and sororities.
These
student organizations provide
- Service
opportunities
- Networking
with alums
- Leadership
development
- Social
interaction.
Each
group is unique unto itself, while offering all of the benefits
of Greek life.
Rush
(or new member recruitment), traditionally occurring every spring,
offers students the opportunity to check out many of the Greek organizations
that they may wish to join.
Capital
University believes that every student should have at least one
semester of adjustment to college life before joining a fraternity
or sorority.

Alpha Phi Omega
Co-ed Fraternity
APO
is a national co-ed service fraternity founded in 1925. The Rho
Theta chapter was founded at Capital in 1966. APO coordinates blood
drives, clothing drives, and a variety of other service programs
and events.
Chi Theta Pi
Chi
Theta Pi was founded as a social sorority in 1962 under the motto,
"Anything is possible if felt within the heart." The sorority
mascot is the ladybug.

Delta Tau Upsilon
DTU
was chartered as a social fraternity in 1968. DTU prides itself
in unity through individual diversity. Annual events include winter
and spring formal, Buffalo Bash.
Kappa Sigma
Upsilon
This
social fraternity was founded in 1927 under the motto, "A better
alma mater for our student and better students for our alma mater."
Phi Beta Co-ed
Fraternity
Phi
Beta is a professional co-ed fraternity for persons interested in
the creative and performing arts. The fraternity's primary aims
are to encourage high professional standards and to support creative
and performing arts endeavors. In general, Phi Beta is concerned
with scholarship and intellectual achievement and seeks to stimulate
the use of its members' talents in service to fellow students, the
school and the community.
Phi Mu Alpha
Sinfonia
Phi
Mu Alpha Sinfonia is a national professional music fraternity. Capital
University is the Epsilon Phi chapter, which is open to anyone who
has an interest in music and our purposes. The purpose of the fraternity
is to encourage and actively promote the highest standards of creativity,
performance, education, and research of music in America.

Pi Phi Epsilon
Pi
Phi was founded as a social sorority in 1964. Sisterhood, scholarship,
knowledge, love and service are the principles of significant value
to this chapter. Their sorority mascot is the panda bear and their
motto is Love and Science.
Sigma Alpha
Iota
Sigma
Alpha Iota started as the Muse. The Muse was formed to bring
Sigma Alpha Iota, a music fraternity for women, to Capital University.
In the past two years many changes have taken place, and the organization
has grown to be an important part of Capital's campus. Hard work
and continue growth through the Greek system paid off on May 9,
2003, when the Muse was chartered as the Kappa Tau Chapter of Sigma
Alpha Iota.
Sigma Tau Omega
STO
was founded as a social fraternity in 1963 under the motto, "Strength,
brotherhood and wisdom."
Zeta Pi Lambda
Zeta
was chartered as a social sorority in 1962 on the four aims of scholarship,
leadership, friendship, and Christianity. They operate under the
motto, "By your deeds shall you be known" and the sorority
mascot is the zebra. |
