The Chimes
The Chimes
is the Capital University student newspaper. Students participate
in all areas of publication, including reporters, editors, photographers,
advertising representatives, circulation managers, and design managers.
In addition, certain staff positions are paid positions. The paper
is published weekly on Thursdays and has a circulation of 2,000.
Participation is open to all students.
Dionysia
The
Dionysia is Capital's literary arts magazine and is distributed
to students each spring and is available online.
The magazine is based on students' submissions of fiction, poetry,
photography as art and photography of arts. Students can participate
as editors, layout and graphic designers, as well as assisting in
the selection of the published works.
Music Ensembles
Music
plays an important role in the lives of many Capital University
students, and the Conservatory of Music provides students with a
variety of ensemble performance opportunities. You do not need to
be a music major to be a member of one of the ensembles. All students
of the University may participate if they qualify.
Students
should prepare a contest level solo or challenging etude. In addition,
students will be asked to play scales and to sight-read.

Orchesis Dance
Ensemble
This organization
is designed for those interested in dance and movement. The organization
sponsors dance workshops, and gathers to celebrate dance. Each year
two recitals are performed by the members of Orchesis.
University
Theatre
Do you enjoy
acting? Are you interested in expanding yourself creatively? Becoming
part of the University Theatre may be for you! Students participate
in all areas of theatre, including sets, costumes, and publicity.
