The Schumacher Gallery's Permanent Collections offer a wonderfully
diverse selection of more than 2500 works for study and enjoyment.
These collections encompass 2000 years of cultural history. Since
the Gallery's inception in 1964, hundreds of donors have provided
objects of art, funds, and services to create this important cultural
legacy.

16th - 19th Century
The collection of the Period Works is a combination of paintings, prints, and tapestries of the 16th-19th centuries. Fine masters such as Albrecht Durer, Jacob Jordaens, Willem Key, and Rembrandt van Rijn are represented.

Asian
The Asian Gallery acquaints visitors with the beauty of traditional and contemporary Asian art including Ming porcelain and Tang Dynasty sculpture.

Contemporary
The Contemporary Arts Gallery is comprised of sculpture and painting by notable artists of our time including Louise Nevelson, Leonard Baskin, and John Marin. Local artists such as Stephen Pentak and Michael McEwan are also featured.

Ethnic
The Ethnic Gallery celebrates art from around the world. This gallery features works from the Oceanic Islands, Haiti, Central and South America, Africa, and the American Southwest.

Graphics
The Graphics Gallery features original works by Pablo Picasso, Marc Chagall, Salvador Dali, Andy Warhol, Mary Cassatt, and Jim Dine. Also represented are 19th-century artists Francisco Goya, Paul Gauguin, and Pierre-Auguste Renoir.

Inuit Art
The Schumacher's significant collection of Inuit art offers a view of traditional carvings along with graphic works from the Arctic North.

The Ohio Collection focuses on prominent Ohio artists such as Elijah Pierce, Charles Burchfield, Edward Potthast, Alice Schille, George Bellows, and Robert Henri.
