Mail Services

Capital's Mail Services, located on the first floor of the Campus Center, serves the campus community as a full-service U.S. post office. In addition to distributing mail to student mailboxes and picking up and delivering mail to campus offices, we weigh items, sell postage and send and receive UPS, Federal Express and other shipments.

We receive U.S. Postal Service mail daily in the morning. Mail is distributed through out campus twice daily at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Hours of Operation
We are open from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. We are closed on holidays when the university is closed.

Student Mailboxes
Student mailboxes are located on the first floor of the Campus Center. All undergraduate students are given a secured mailbox free of charge.

Addressing Mail to Capital Students
You should address mail to Capital students to the student's mailbox number, not to their residence hall.

The proper address format is:

Packages and Bulk Items
Students must pick up packages and bulk items from the Mail Services counter. Student's will receive a notice in their mailbox informing them that the items are available for pick up.

Types of Items We Receive
Parents and relative should feel free to send food items and sundries. We receive all legal shipments according to U.S. Postal Service rules. Daily shipments from UPS, Federal Express, and DHL are also received.

Capital University Office Mail
Mail is delivered to and picked up from campus offices twice daily. Offices must include their account number on all mail pieces, bundles or packages. All departmental mail is metered and charged to the department's account.

Offices should call Mail Services at 6658 the day of pick up if heavy items or numerous boxes are being sent.
