You
and Our
New
E-Mail
System
|
On July 6, 2004, we activated a new e-mail server. Because e-mail passwords are encrypted, we were not able to preserve any passwords, so all the e-mail passwords were changed.
Your username has not changed. *
Your password has changed. Your
new password is in the form, " Cap0000000 " where " 0000000 " is your 7-digit student ID number. Please note that passwords are case-sensitive...that is an upper-case "C" followed by lower-case "a" and "p".
To change your password you must use
the "change your password" option on the webmail system
at
http://webmail.capital.edu
. Other methods will not change your e-mail password. When
asked, your domain is " capital ".
To register your computer with the network you need to use your current e-mail password.
* A few students have filed a privacy request
which requires that we supply an anonymous username. If you are
one of these students, contact Information Technology for your
username. If you follow these instructions and you still can't
log into your email, this may be your problem...call the Help
Desk.
