WAIT! After a delay of about fifteen seconds, the projector will beep. After that, it will take up to a minute for the projector to reach full brightness.
To turn the projector OFF:
- Turn off the wall switch located above the computer stand.
Note: After you shut off the projector, do not attempt to restart for at least five minutes.
To project from the classroom computer
-
Make sure the computer is ON
- Set the A/B/C/D switch to A (Classroom Computer)
- To adjust the sound, use the controls on the speaker.
- If you hear sounds you aren't expecting, turn the VCR OFF.
To project from the VCR:
- Make sure the VCR is ON
- Set the A/B/C/D switch to B (VCR)
- To adjust the sound, use the controls on the speaker.
You will see the video from the VCR on the computer monitor.
If the video does not show on the projector, shows only on the upper half of the screen, or causes an "out of range" error on the monitor, the scaler needs reset. The scaler is attached to the bottom of the cable tray under the open side of the computer stand. Press the button on the front of the scaler, wait a few seconds, then press it again. This should fix the image.
To project from your own computer:
- Connect your computer to the loose monitor cable coming up through the tabletop.
- Set the A/B/C/D switch to C (Laptop Computer)
You will see the signal from the laptop on the computer monitor.
For best results, use the projector's native screen resolution, 1024 x 768 pixels.
Your computer may require a special key sequence or control panel setting to work with an external display. When in doubt, consult the manufacturer's manual.
Please turn off the projector when you finish!
