Data Projector Operation:
To turn the projector ON:
Press the POWER button on the projector
Note: The projector will beep once. It will take up to a minute for the projector to reach full brightness.
To turn the projector OFF:
- Press the POWER button on the projector.
This message will appear on the screen: "Turn off projector?"
- Press the POWER button again to shut off the lamp.
Note: After you shut off the projector, do not attempt to restart for at least five minutes.
To project from the classroom computer:
- Make sure the computer is ON
- Make sure the A/B switch is set to A (Classroom Computer)
- If you are getting video from the VCR or a blue screen, turn off the VCR.
To project from the VCR:
- Make sure the VCR is ON
- If you are getting a computer signal, set the A/B switch to B
You will not see the video from the VCR
on the computer monitor.
To project from your own computer:
- Connect your computer to the loose monitor cable coming up through the tabletop.
- Set the A/B switch to B (Laptop Computer)
- If you are getting video from the VCR or a blue screen, turn off the VCR.
You will see the signal from the laptop on the computer monitor.
For best results, use the projector's native screen resolution, 1024 x 768 pixels.
Your computer may require a special key sequence or control panel setting to work with an external display. When in doubt, consult the manufacturer's manual.
Please turn the projector OFF when you finish!
