The
Health and Sport Sciences Majors are designed to prepare students
to pursue careers in areas such as fitness management, athletic
training, health and physical education, and to pursue advanced
degrees in areas such as exercise physiology, kinesiology, education,
and sport or health administration.
Some courses taken by Health and Sport Sciences Majors include,
Nutrition, First Aid, CPR, Care and Prevention of Athletic Injuries,
Kinesiology, Exercise Physiology, Tests and Measurements and Anatomy
& Physiology.
Capital graduates enjoy an excellent record of job placement and
graduate school admission, including an outstanding record of
fellowship awards. They are employed as coaches, athletic trainers,
teachers, recreation program directors, athletic sales representatives,
health and fitness club directors, corporate fitness directors,
strength coaches and personal trainers.
