MSN Nursing Education Concentrate

Nursing Education Concentrate Courses

Master of science in nursing (MSN) students following the nursing education concentrate must take the following courses. The minimum requirement for this degree concentrate is 36 semester hours. It must be completed within five years.

Graduate Core (8-9 credit hours)

MBA613 and an ethics course may be taken in any order and at any time but before the 700-level courses.

Nursing Core (9 credit hours)

These courses may be taken in any order and at any time prior to the 700-level nursing courses.

Concentrate (9 credit hours)

These courses may be taken in any order.

NUR633 Teaching, Learning and Evaluation in Nursing Education (4) No electives
NUR634 Curriculum Design in Nursing (3)
NUR636 Computer-Based Education (2)

Synthesis and Application (10 minimum credit hours)

These capstone courses, which build on preceding experiences, should be taken toward the end of the program. All graduate and nursing core courses must be completed first. Advisor approval is required to take NUR755 or NUR765 concurrently with a concentrate course.
