Faculty Loan
Program for Graduate Study
Funds are Available
to Help You go to Graduate School
Capital
University participates in a loan repayment program sponsored by
the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Health Resources
and Services Administration, Bureau of Health Professions. The Nurse
Faculty Loan Program (NFLP) is designed to help finance studies
toward a master's degree in nursing with a concentrate in education.
In exchange
for working as a nurse educator in a 2, 3, or 4 year nursing program
following graduation, the loan is forgiven at a rate of 20% the
first year, 20% the second year, 20% the third year, and 25% the
fourth year.
To be eligible
for the NFLP loan, the graduate student/borrower must:
- Be a U.S.
citizen or national of the U.S.

Be a full-time student in good standing of an advanced nurse education
program (6 hours of classes/semester)
- Have no
judgment lien entered against him/her based on the default of
a
federal debt
Funds can be
used for tuition, fees, books, lab fees, and other related items
including costs related to thesis or research work.
Funds
are currently available.
