RN to BSN
Completion Program
Capital
University School of Nursing and the Center for Lifelong Learning
(CLL) offer a bachelor of science in nursing program (BSN) for
registered nurses (RN). Our program began in the mid-1970s and
has gained wide recognition for its quality and for our job placement
program for graduates.
The
RN to BSN program offers general education, science, and elective
courses through the Columbus and Dayton Centers for Lifelong Learning
(CLL) which cater to the special needs and circumstances of working
adults. Our nursing courses are designed specifically for RNs
and are offered every other week in the evening on our Columbus
and Dayton CLL campuses.
We
accept transfer credit from associate degree in nursing programs
and in most cases, these courses meet all of the lower division
science and nursing requirements as well as some of the general
education requirements.
Graduates
of diploma programs in nursing that were affiliated with a university
generally have completed course work that meets lower division
science requirements. Additionally, diploma graduates will be
awarded up to 38 hours of credit for lower division nursing requirements.
All students work closely with an advisor to plan their individual
course of study.
