BSN Completion
Program in Cleveland
The BSN-Completion Program in a Nutshell
Capital
University School of Nursing and the Adult Degree Program (ADP)
offer a BSN- completion program for RNs that began in the mid-1970s.
Courses to meet the general education, science, and elective requirements
are offered through the ADP centers in Cleveland, Columbus and
Dayton. The 7 upper division nursing courses designed specifically
for RNs are also offered in Cleveland, Columbus and Dayton.
Courses
completed as part of an Associate Degree in Nursing are accepted
as transfer credit. In most cases, these courses meet all of the
lower division science and nursing requirements as well as some
of the general education requirements. Graduates of Diploma Programs
in Nursing may submit documentation of their courses to the University
Competency Assessment Panel (UCAP) which has the authority to
grant university credit for non-university (or experiential) learning.
BSN-completion advisors are very familiar with this process and
will facilitate the student's application to UCAP.
To
request program information by phone or to make an individual
appointment, call (216) 781-0228 and ask for Winnie Walter, BSN
Completion Advisor, or Sandy Miller.
An information session is
scheduled for November 29, 2000, form 5:00-7:30 at the Capital
University Adult Degree Program Center, 1320 Sumner Caurt in downtown
Cleveland.
