Cooperative Agreement between the University of Dayton and Capital University

In February of 1979, the University of Dayton and Capital University discussed the possibility of a cooperative agreement to offer a Masters of Science in Education on the Capital University campus.

A feasibility study was completed in the Summer of 1979 which indicated areas of interest on the part of potential graduate students.

In June of 1980, an agreement was signed by the presidents of both institutions to begin the program.

In the Fall of 1980, four classes were offered, with a total of sixty-five students enrolled.

Since the initial offerings in 1980, the program has dramatically expanded in terms of the number of programs offered and the number of students enrolled.

The University of Dayton and Capital University are committed to offering quality programs that meet the needs of students in the Columbus and Central Ohio area.
