BOOKSTORE/TEXTBOOKS

Textbooks for the UD courses offered at Capital University may be purchased on-line from the Capital Bookstore. Go to: www.capital.bncollege.com. Under "Choose your campus", select "University of Dayton" and follow prompts. You can have textbooks mailed to you, or have them ready for you to pick up at the Capital Bookstore (and save shipping charges!). Textbooks may also be purchased directly at the Capital University Bookstore located on the first floor of the Harry C. Moores Campus Center.

Note: Textbooks for classes at the Franklin County Education Service Center are not stocked at the Capital Bookstore. To order textbooks for any UD campus, OTHER THAN CAPITAL UNIVERSITY, go to: http://bookstore.udayton.edu.

BOOKSTORE HOURS

The purpose of the University Store is to provide the university community with the widest selection of goods and services of high quality at equitable prices.

TEXTBOOKS
All textbooks are arranged alphabetically by subject, and numerically by course number and section. The shelf cards include course and section numbers, professor’s name and required and/or recommended texts. It is best to purchase all books listed at the same time, since remaining books will be returned to the publisher approximately six weeks after classes begin. If you need assistance in locating a book, ask a bookstore employee.

MAIL ORDERS
If you cannot make it to the bookstore during regular hours, we will be happy to UPS your books, clothing, etc., to you at a cost of $7.00 per package (price subject to change without notice).

BOOK RETURN POLICY
1. Sales receipt REQUIRED for all returns. NO EXCEPTIONS!
2. Full refund during first ten days of the semester, if books are in new, unmarked condition. DO NOT WRITE IN YOUR BOOKS UNTIL YOU ARE SURE THEY ARE THE CORRECT ONES FOR YOUR CLASS.
3. The bookstore is the sole judge as to whether a book is in new or used condition.
4. Special orders require a $5.00 deposit. Special order books are not returnable.
5. Defective books will be replaced at no charge and should be returned at once.

BOOK BUYBACK
Future buyback dates will be posted, as soon as available, in bookstore, on UD bulletin board in the basement of the Ruff Learning Center and on the bulletin board outside of the UD office. You can also visit our web site for current information.

INDEPENDENT STUDIES AND SPECIAL ORDERS
Special orders will need to be placed for an independent study or title that is not in stock. Please come to the bookstore office prepared with author, title, publisher, and ISBN# so that we can process your book order as quickly as possible. A typical special order takes a week to ten days after ordering. All special orders are required to be purchased! Therefore, a $5.00 deposit is required to process the order. The deposit will be refunded to you under the conditions that you purchase the book and you do so within ten days after you have been contacted.

In addition to textbooks, the store carries a wide selection of items including school supplies, paperbacks, magazines, reference books, personal care items, stationery, greeting cards, newspapers, imprinted clothing, glassware, novelties, snacks and pop. When you visit the bookstore, do not hesitate to ask questions. We are here to serve you and welcome any and all suggestions.
